Editor Advanced Features
Kipwise’s advanced editor features help your teammates get an overview of the Page and jump to specific sections more easily. The editor automatically generates a table of contents based on your headings, which you can access by clicking “Content outline” at the top right of the editor.
If you prefer, you can also insert a Content Outline block inside the Page so your teammates don’t have to click that button and can see the Table of Contents directly in the document.
Advanced editor features for linking related pages
Other than linking to external content, sometimes it is useful to reference another Kipwise Page.
To do this, simply type at followed by your search terms and you can insert the selected Page inline.
Other than mentioning another page as a text link, you can also attach related pages on a Kipwise Page in a Page Gallery format.
Simply type plus page gallery to insert a page gallery block and you can select what Kipwise Pages to include.
A quick decision rule for linking related pages: mention a page inline when you are pointing to just one page from inside a sentence, and switch to a Page Gallery once you have three or more pages to reference. Stacking several inline mentions in one paragraph turns the text into a wall of blue links that is hard to skim, while a Page Gallery keeps the prose readable and still surfaces every related page in one place.
